As the visionary behind Anthony Scotto Restaurants and President of the Scotto Brothers Hospitality, Anthony Scotto personifies the American dream.

Where It All Started...

As the visionary behind Anthony Scotto Restaurants and President of the Scotto Brothers Hospitality, Anthony Scotto personifies the American dream.

After immigrating from Monte di Procida, Italy to the United States in 1961, Anthony Scotto started working as a dishwasher at his uncle's Italian restaurant, Romano's, in Brooklyn, NY.  It is here that Anthony's passion for restaurants came to life.  Driven by his desire to learn and achieve as much as he could, he became a student of the hospitality industry while working second jobs and attending night school to learn English, with the ultimate goal of opening his own restaurant.

His dream became a reality in 1967, when Anthony and his brothers opened Scotto's Pizzeria in Port Washington - a little pizzeria serving quality Italian comfort food. It was a true family enterprise and even the children pitched in, developing a passion for the business early in life.

Expanding their dreams

In 1978, the family portfolio expanded to include the Chateau Briand (Carle Place), then a small catering facility, which they transformed into one of the region's leading venues. Just a few years later came The Steer Barn chain - Anthony's first venture into American steakhouses, featuring a menu of steaks and chops, served up in a warm, rustic interior. In the mid 1980s, the Westbury Manor and Fox Hollow (Woodbury) catering facilities were acquired. Both were highlighted by traditional mansions with grand ballrooms and acres of beautiful gardens with lush landscaping and water features.

In 1994, The Watermill (Smithtown) was acquired as the first venture outside of Scotto Brothers. Anthony partnered with his daughters, Silvana and Monica to purchase this renowned catering facility in Suffolk County.

Blackstone Steakhouse

In 2005, Anthony Scotto and his daughters opened Blackstone Steakhouse in Melville, New York.  It was here that the concept of serving both 45-day prime dry-aged steaks and mouth-watering sushi under one roof was conceived.  Blackstone Steakhouse is the only restaurant on Long Island to be certified by the Official Kobe Beef Association.

In 2009, RARE650 Prime Steak & Sushi located in Syosset, New York opened following the concept of serving both 45-day prime dry-aged steaks and spectacular sushi.  The dramatic space boasts a chic main dining room, floor-to-ceiling wine room and an energetic bar area.  Dine or enjoy cocktails under the stars, in our stunning glass Conservatory featuring ambient lighting, tropical landscaping and ultra-comfortable oversize booths and seating.

In 2011, Anthony Scotto launched his first steakhouse in Suffolk County, Insignia Prime Steak & Sushi located in Smithtown, New York.  Insignia redefines the traditional steakhouse by offering an exceptional dining experience with a taste and flair all its own. Insignia’s inspired menu features the finest 45-day prime dry-aged steaks, freshest seafood, and a dazzling array of sushi creations, served up in a chic, elegant atmosphere that is also a feast for the eyes.

In 2016, Anthony Scotto purchased the historic Maine Maid Inn and completely renovated it to create Opus Mediterranean Steakhouse located in Jericho, New York, a chic new 20,000 square foot restaurant and catering venue, unlike anything on Long Island. Enjoy succulent steakhouse classics and fish that is flown in daily from the best waters around the world, and other classic Mediterranean dishes.  Sip on wines from around the globe, or enjoy a bottle from the expansive list of over 600 vintages.

In 2018, Anthony Scotto purchased the former Wonder Bread Factory in Melville, New York and in 2019, he opened One10 Restaurant, a Modern Italian Steakhouse, on the site.  A completely new concept for the Anthony Scotto Restaurant Group, taking Anthony's Italian heritage and combining it with his steakhouse classics.

Set in an awe-inspiring 14,000-square-foot space, One10 exudes a contemporary style with a dramatic, yet welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re looking to sit down to an exquisite dining experience, host a world-class social or corporate event, or toast the day at the most unique bar space on Long Island, One10 is at your service.

In 2019, Anthony Scotto acquired the restaurant located in the Rubies Building on Route 110, Melville, New York.  Having just completed a full renovation, Bijou is a Modern American Asian restaurant open for lunch, brunch, dinner & private events.  With live entertainment Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings, Bijou has quickly become a destination on Long Island to Come for Dinner & Stay for the Party.
